First of all, some hollow fiber and tubular organic membrane samples can not withstand too high a pressure, generally no more than 5 kg; secondly, high pressure measurement may also bring problems to the sample sealing, because the sample often need to be squeezed to seal well; again, the vast majority of organic membrane samples in the high-pressure aperture deformation may occur or even closed, which will make the results of the measurement is meaningless. Therefore, the liquid-liquid discharge method is recommended for small aperture samples, while the gas-liquid discharge method can only be used for large aperture samples.
